Cowan (guitar,
vocals) was a founding
member of Hip Trigger before it became “THE
BASH!!”.
Starting his musical
journey as a drummer at the age of 7, he picked up the guitar at age
12. Completely
self taught on guitar, bass & drums, he has been playing in So.
With experience playing rock, pop, fusion, funk, metal, blues, country, folk, gospel, & bluegrass, he is an extremely versatile player. Kelly also moves easily from electric to acoustic, covers to originals, live performance to studio work, and also handles lead & backing vocal duties for the band.
Kelly has shared the stage with such diverse artists as Jefferson Starship, Eddie Money, Josh Gracin, the Safaris, Dangerous Toys, Great White, Salty Dog, Bluegrass Etc. & the Del McCoury Band.
Kelly owns and operates his own recording studio (Copper Creek Studio), is an avid guitar collector, and performs in the acoustic duet “Poetic Justice” with Lara Gressley.
Whether functioning as a composer/performer of original music, playing live or in studio, backing other artists, playing electric and acoustic covers, or teaching others how to play music, he is always dedicated, creative and professional. Check him out at:
